Nikon products receive the "iF Design Award 2016"

Nikon Corporation (Kazuo Ushida, President, Tokyo) is pleased to announce that Inverted Microscopes ECLIPSE Ts2R and ECLIPSE Ts2 win the iF Gold Award. This is the first time for Nikon to be a recipient of iF Gold Award. And also, Advanced Camera with Interchangeable Lenses Nikon 1 J5 receives product design, iF Design Award 2016.
iF Design Award is a globally prestigious design award sponsored by iF International Forum Design GmbH since 1953.
iF Design Award consists of several disciplines such as product, communication and packaging design. This year, 5,295 entries from 53 countries were evaluated, with the various awards being presented to a total of 1,821 products. In the 1,821 products, the 75 products win the iF Gold Award.
Inverted Microscopes ECLIPSE Ts2R and ECLIPSE Ts2
The ECLIPSE Ts2R and ECLIPSE Ts2 are inverted microscopes designed for use in tissue culture and research lab environments. Both models incorporate compact designs, intuitively positioned control buttons, LED-based diascopic and epi-fluorescence illumination as well as a new contrasting technique which provides pseudo-three dimensional images of thick samples.
Advanced Camera with Interchangeable Lenses Nikon 1 J5
The Nikon 1 J5 incorporates an effective pixel count of 20.8-million pixels, backside illumination CMOS sensor, and the EXPEED 5A image-processing engine in an elegantly simple and modern design. It is a model that offers full-scale specifications and superior operation with the high-speed continuous shooting rate of approximately 20 fps with AF, support for 4K movie recording, and a tilting LCD monitor that enables capture of self portraits.
