Selected for Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the 7th Consecutive Year

TOKYO - Nikon Corporation has been selected for the seventh consecutive year as a component of the World Index (DJSI World) and the Asia Pacific Index (DJSI Asia Pacific) within the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), a globally recognized ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investment benchmark.
The DJSI is a sustainability-focused stock index created by S&P Dow Jones Indices in the United States. Each year, it evaluates major global companies based on governance/economic, environmental, social criteria to select those that excel in sustainability. In the DJSI World, that rank in the top (about 10%) of their respective industries are chosen as index components from approximately 3,500 companies worldwide.
Nikon has also been selected for all ESG indices* adopted by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) targeting domestic stocks.
