Nikon the new official sponsor of Getty Images Gallery

Nikon U.K. Ltd., a subsidiary of Nikon Corporation (Makoto Kimura, President) in the United Kingdom, has completed a sponsorship agreement with Getty Images Gallery, London, making Nikon the official sponsor of all exhibitions to be held at Getty Images Gallery between June 2011 and June 2013.
This sponsorship agreement was reached between Nikon, which continuously strives to offer high-quality, highly functional products that enable the creation of photographic works that surpass user expectations and services with added value, and Getty Images Gallery, which aims to surprise, engage and highlight the best and most memorable imagery from the early days of photography through today. Cooperation between Nikon and Getty Images Gallery provides a place for activities and announcements on a global level, as well as contributing to the expansion of photographic culture.
Nikon has long been engaged in activities that support photographers, beginning with its Nikon Professional Service (NPS), which offers special services and support to member professional photographers from around the world, and including sponsorship and support of a wide variety of international sporting events. As the official sponsor of Getty Images Gallery, Nikon is in a new position to fortify the services it offers to photo enthusiasts, both professional and amateur, who are active around the world. As a leading manufacturer in the professional imaging market, Nikon will also be able to strengthen its support organization through its partnership with Getty Images Gallery.

Getty Images Gallery, owned by Getty Images, is London's largest independent photographic gallery and was founded in 1996 in Chelsea. The Gallery was later relocated to Eastcastle Street near Oxford Circus, a popular travel and shopping destination for tourists.
