Nikon CSR Report 2010 completed

Nikon Corporation (KIMURA, Makoto, president, Chiyoda-ku Tokyo) has completed Nikon CSR Report 2010 that describes CSR activities of the group companies from April 2009 to March 2010. Since the report was first issued in 2006, this year's issue marks the fifth anniversary. The CSR site was also redesigned to well reflect the contents of CSR Report 2010.

Activities of each Company are described with the special focus on those in imaging company's manufacturing plants in Thailand and China.
2. Biodiversity conservation policy and action plan
Nikon's basic policy and action plan toward biodiversity conservation have been clarified by revising Nikon Basic Environmental Management Policy in April 2010 and adding the biodiversity conservation target to the Nikon Environmental Action Plan that sets forth a three-year midterm schedule for our environmental activities.
3. Numerical target for enhancing supports for female workers
To create female friendly corporate culture and help female employees display their abilities, the midterm numerical target was identified.
4. Improved report structure
For environmental friendliness, the full version of the report is downloadable from the web site as in the previous year. Furthermore, to quickly inform stakeholders of our information, the printed version of Nikon CSR Report 2010 Digest, which contains key points of the full version, environmental data, and glossary, was also prepared.
