Establishment of the new holding company in Hong Kong

Nikon Corporation (KIMURA, Makoto, president, Tokyo) establishes the holding company in Hong Kong as regional headquarters for China and Asia toward late August 2010.
Nikon has continued to promote the integrated system of full authority and responsibilities for each product business unit on a global basis since the introduction of its in-house company structure in October 1999. All appreciate a sense of unity and agility thanks to the accomplished in-house company structure, with expanding the business operation among others in China and Asia. It has also become essential to produce the cooperation between the group companies and pursue the efficiency of business operation as well as resource management from the regional aspects. This led to establishment of the new company.
