Nikon Group Issues Nikon CSR REPORT 2009

The Nikon Group has released Nikon CSR REPORT 2009 to introduce our corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities from April 2008 through March 2009. This is the 4th CSR report since it was first issued in 2006.
The Nikon Group CSR includes our continuous commitment to sound and fair corporate practices, contributions to the healthy development of society, and aspirations to completely fulfill the trust of our customers and society.
This edition features the Nikon Group commitment to our Global Warming Prevention Project, reporting the details of the activities to reduce CO2 emissions carried out by our production, product, and service groups. It also reports Nikon Group policies and achievements, as well as the challenges and goals we foresee in the next fiscal year.
We hope that this report provides you with a full understanding of the Nikon Group CSR activities. It is our intention to strengthen communications with our stakeholders through this report, striving to fully achieve our CSR commitments.
Please note that, as part of our efforts to protect and preserve the environment, we discontinued paper-based reports from this year. Instead we are publishing the reports on our website, from which you can download and view the contents.
