Nikon CSR Report 2011 Completed

Nikon Corporation (Makoto Kimura, President) has completed Nikon CSR Report 2011 that describes CSR activities of the Nikon Group from April 2010 to March 2011. Since the report was first issued in 2006, this year's issue marks the sixth anniversary.

Two versions are available under PDF format on our website; Detailed version (full contents) and Digest version which contains key points of the detailed version. The CSR site was also redesigned to well reflect the contents of CSR Report 2011.

Business activities of each business division are explained from the viewpoint of CSR.

2. CSR activities at overseas group companies

Characteristic CSR activities of four overseas group companies are introduced with comments of the persons in charge.

3. Stakeholder dialogue

Mr. Toshihiko Fujii (Visiting Professor, Graduate School of Economic Science, Saitama University, and Consulting Fellow, Research Institute of Economy, Trade & Industry, IAA) who is well versed in the subject of global CSR situation talked with Chairman of Nikon Corporation, Michio Kariya under the theme "What expectations do stakeholders have toward Nikon?"

4. Priority issues

For each priority issue, activities of 2011 are introduced as well as its promoting structure and other basic information. Among those activities, noteworthy events are highlighted, including "voices" (comments) of the concerned employees/persons.

This report aims to raise Nikon group awareness toward CSR activities and deepen communications with our stakeholders in a bid to further enhance our CSR activities.
