Recognizing global employees as important stakeholders, Nikon's CSR departments solicited opinions from 82 employees working in every region of the world over the course of reviewing the Group's CSR priority issues.
Ten years have now passed since Nikon's CSR Committee was established. The committee held its 20th meeting in November 2015.
The Nikon Group's social responsibility (CSR) is to embody our corporate philosophy: "Trustworthiness and Creativity" through business activities and contribute to the sustainable development of society.
Societies around the world are confronting a wide array of serious issues, including environmental problems such as resource depletion and climate change, as well as issues concerning human rights and labor in the supply chain. To help resolve these problems, corporations must play a greater role than ever before. Accordingly, the Nikon Group has set targets for each of its CSR priority issues and is proactively carrying out CSR initiatives in its efforts to contribute to the sustainable growth of communities worldwide.
