EISA declares Nikon SUPER COOLSCAN 4000 ED "European Scanner of the Year 2001-2002"

TOKYO -- Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce that the Nikon SUPER COOLSCAN 4000 ED has been declared "European Scanner of the Year 2001-2002" by the Photo Panel of EISA.

EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) is an awards panel comprised of editors-in-chief and technical editors from the largest general circulation photo-journals in 16 European countries.

In its official statement, EISA said "The COOLSCAN is a key product in Nikon's new generation of high-resolution film scanners. The 4000 ED takes the striking dust- and scratch-eliminating ICE technology and extends it with two new innovations. The 4000 ED now features the grain-removing Digital GEM and Digital ROC, which revives the colours of old, fading slides and negatives. All three systems evaluate the picture before the scanning, giving better results in a more convenient manner than traditional digital connections."
