Nikon Corporation will release
the AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 28-70mm f/2.8D IF-ED, an AF SLR camera lens with a built-in Silent Wave Motor (SWM) for AF operation that enhances high-speed, high-precision AF performance and high-quality optical performance.
Features
High-speed, high-precision AF performance and high-quality optical performance
Nikon's exclusive Silent Wave Motor (SWM) provides quick response, as well as high-precision AF photography with hushed mechanical sound.
Advanced Focus Tracking enables fast-moving subjects, such as athletes in sporting events, to be photographed clearly.
A newly designed optical system allows superior optical performance and utilizes two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glasses. An aspherical lens of molded glass minimizes distortion and results in higher resolution and superior contrast.
The rounded diaphragm opening (9 blades) makes out-of-focus images appear more natural.
Nikon's exclusive IF (Internal Focusing) ensures a closer focusing distance (0.5m throughout zoom range)
Easy operation suitable for many occasions
The M / A mode allows switching from autofocus to manual focus with virtually no time lag, even during AF servo operation
No power is consumed during manual focus operation
The filter attachment does not rotate during focusing or zooming
