LS-2000

Tokyo, Japan (Nippon) 1998-03-16 --- Nikon is proud to announce an astounding achievement in the field of film scanning.
The SUPER COOLSCAN 2000, a versatile 35mm[135] / IX240 film scanner, incorporates revolutionary technology that takes image quality to levels previously thought unreachable.

The SUPER COOLSCAN 2000 also boasts high scanning speed and flexibility.

Full-color scanning at 2,700 dpi can be performed in only 20 sec. (without the transfer of data to a computer).
Furthermore, its small size (footprint) and light weight allow users to situate the scanner in the most convenient location, and to easily relocate it when necessary.

For great color reproduction no matter the type of film, there's the Nikon Color Management System.

And for scanning 35mm [135] format slide mounts, film strips or IX240 (Advanced Photo System ™) film adapters are available (IA-20 IX240 FILM ADAPTER and SF-200 SLIDE FEEDER are optional) that are easily mounted on the front of the scanner.

The new scanning software "Nikon Scan Ver.2" is a completely redesigned Photoshop™ plug-in for Mac OS™ and a TWAIN source for Windows®.

Major Features

  1. Fast scan times of 20 seconds at 2,700 dpi (without data transfer to computer)
