| A: | Continuing on from the previous fiscal year, we have succeeded in increasing sales and profits, and although favorable exchange rates played a large role in these results, we believe that this is a solid start to achieving our consolidated targets for the fiscal year ending March, 2010. Although the current business environment is vastly different to that in which we were able to boost sales on the end of strong economic growth, we believe that there is still room for development through effective management and have set challenging new goals for fiscal 2011 in pursuit of our goal of establishing Nikon as the truly outstanding company. |
