Hiromi Yokoyama, Navigator

Hiromi Yokoyama, Doctor of Science, is an associate professor at University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Science. With a Ph.D. in elementary particle neutrino, Yokoyama is currently engaged in the study of science communication, in particular, the effective communication of scientific information between researchers and society. She is also a science journalist, and contributes to various magazines. Yokoyama won the Japanese Association of Science & Technology Journalists’ 2007 Science Journalist Award for her current work “The Story of Light and People.”
