Nikon must fulfill certain responsibilities as a member of society. In other words, Nikon must ask itself what it can do to improve society and the environment. Around the world, the Nikon Group is working as one to fulfill its corporate social responsibilities as it strives further to advance principled business management and creativity.
Nikon has established the "Nikon Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Charter" to enable each and every employee to understand and put into practice its basic policy on CSR of the Nikon Group.
To promote the achievement of its CSR aims in a more effective manner, the Nikon Group has established a CSR Committee and related committees to promote the permeation and thorough enforcement of CSR throughout the Group.
Nikon participates in the Global Compact, a program advanced by the United Nations in support of "ten fundamental principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption."
The Nikon Group will promote CSR the Nikon way through efforts of the embodiment of our corporate philosophy "Trustworthiness and Creativity."
